Welcome!
Knitting has been a passion of mine for 30 plus years. An art I can thank my mother for handing down to me. Her needles are my prize possessions. I wonder how many beautiful items they created.
I’ve often credited knitting as keeping me sane as I raised 3 boys on my own. 10 years ago I became disabled after a failed back surgery. I came down with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), a debilitating pain condition. Knitting is one of my main coping mechanisms. I’ve created some very beautiful stuff on some horrendous pain days. Beauty can come out of darkness sometimes. CRPS has stolen so much of my life, but knitting still remains. I’m so thankful for that as I credit it for keeping me here as I battled this condition daily.
This year both my pets came down with medical needs. Spider-Man 14 yea r old cat has become diabetic. Ojo 5 year old German Shepherd has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency and urinary incontinence. Both need monthly medications and additional vet visits. I drained every financial backup I had. It is imperative I find a means of some additional income as all I have is disability. Thus, I am here.
Why Happy Dream? Become I need to stay happy and dreams (nighttime ones and personal inspirations) make me smile. Since my early 20s have had a huge interest in my dreams each night. I keep a dream journal which to this day am shocked at how much our dreams actually talk to us. Each night as I tucked my boys into bed I told them, “Happy Dreams.”
Each item I create is proof Thani can make it through each day. Now, as I’m venturing out and selling my items they bring one that I can in fact care for and keep my medical needy furbabies. How fortunate I am to have them and the ability to be a fiber artist.
Thank you for visiting my page. Happy dreams!
